Developing a Lushootseed Name for the New Lake City Natural Area
Since early last year, Thornton Creek Alliance has been working with Muckleshoot and Duwamish representatives on a possible Lushootseed name for the new natural area that the City of Seattle acquired along the creek at 2318 NE 125th Street in 2019
Thornton Creek Alliance (TCA) is a grassroots, nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving and restoring an ecological balance in the Thornton Creek watershed, a drainage of approximately 11.6 square miles in northeast Seattle and Shoreline.
